Forklift tire size guide

Type the size from your forklift tire. For press-on (cushion) tires we show real dimensions, load capacity and when to replace.

Three kinds of forklift tires

Press-on (cushion) — solid rubber bonded to a steel band, pressed onto the wheel. Size = overall diameter × width × band inside diameter, e.g. 21x7x15. For smooth indoor floors.

Pneumatic — air-filled, like a small truck tire. Size = section width – rim, e.g. 6.50-10, or overall diameter × width – rim, e.g. 18x7-8. For outdoor and rough surfaces.

Solid pneumatic — solid rubber in the same sizes as pneumatic tires (6.50-10, 28x9-15) and on the same rims. Puncture-proof replacement for air tires.

When to replace a press-on tire

Measure the overall diameter. When it wears down to the replacement diameter shown above, replace the tire — and replace both tires on an axle together, so the truck stays level.

Data: Camso (Solideal) press-on tire technical datasheet, imperial edition. Load capacity is per tire for counterbalanced lift trucks at the stated top speed; load wheel = drive axle, steering wheel = rear axle. Checked October 2026.
